... a guest speaker you won't forget.

Hi. Yes. My name is Sheila. I've worn a few different hats, played a few different roles, and sang to the tune of many different successes and failures... and I've learned some unique lessons along the way. I tell a few self-depreciating stories, bare my soul in an almost cringe over-sharing kind of way (without trauma bonding an entire audience or triggeringly insensitive, or crass way). I'd like to think that Jesus is making a difference in my life, and can for others as well.

Wanna take a chance on hearing me out?

I'd take the chance on your group, or crowd, or venue, or event. Hopefully they'd receive what I have to say and be open to a bit of my unbelievable sense of humanity/humour.

I'd like to be paid for my time - gas to get to you ain't cheap and I love being with my kids, so if you're gonna pull me away from them to hear what I have to say, let's put a figure on it. You probably have a budget, and I'm open to talking about it. Not much scares or intimidates me, except my own failures and rejection and a bit of imposter syndrome, but that's what therapy and prayer are for, right?

Let's get to business...

Here's a picture I haven't put a link to yet.

I like the media. I like photography and video and promotion. It makes me happy to stand on a stage. And no, I don't get stage fright. And I'm not afraid of hecklers, or bad publicity. They can't say anything I'm not already thinking, or don't already know about myself.

I'm not judging how organized or smart you might be (or aren't).

I could probably fill a whole 2 hours of time talking about my dumb moments, and weird experiences. Trust me, I think I'm way worse than you might think I'd be judging you for. And I'm so eternally grateful for how the Bible says Jesus sees me.

Let's let Him judge, eh?

Analysis is important.

Do I read the Bible for what it says? Yes.

Do I try to apply it as best as I can, within the context of submission to church authority? Yes.

Have I messed that up in the past and am working out my salvation with fear and trembling? Yes, and it's my main source of joy.

I hope I have some fruit from the Holy Spirit to share with my family and friends and acquaintences... it might be a little underripe, and gnawed on by some nasty pests, but I think I see a little bit of it as evidence that I'm closer to Jesus now than I used to be when I was younger??!?
