Overview

Have you ever wrote out the entire list of all the books of the Bible? I did once... took me a long time.

And why? Because there's gotta be a reason for each book to be uniquely written by a human, claiming to be inspired by a divine being they call the God above all Gods. That's a pretty radical thing. And somehow, in some way each book came to have a name regarding what it is about, or who wrote it, or the message that God has for us as people made in His image.

66 books.

For numerous cultures and languages and peoples throughout the ages of the world.

The days of the week have names too, and regardless of what calendar you might follow, there's one thing that's always the same for all people everywhere - there's 7 days in a week.

Each day feels different than the last, and yet the flow of a week is consistent from one week to another. It's a little bit tricky in my world with a spouse that has worked primarily shift work for the bulk of the time that I've known him, dated him, and been married to him. It can get a bit uncalibrating at times, when everyone else's schedules and lives don't seem to jive with my hectic and chaotic life. But the days at the week are the days of the week, and they have names and they matter. So to grab onto some semblance of normalcy, I sectioned each week into it's days, and gave them all themes. Perhaps it's a bit overkill, and maybe it isn't, but the program here lends itself to really grounding and centering ourselves in the rhythm that God intended for humanity to at least be mindful of, at the very smallest and most basic way by what the days are named. He didn't name them all the same, or maybe that was just humanity... I'm still wrestling through that, and maybe someday when I get to heaven it will make more sense in light of His wonder and majesty.

God lives outside of time and space, and He made the rules about them. And my little mind, albeit technically genius on a scale of reliability, truly can't begin to fathom that. I look forward to having my mind repeatedly BLOWN by Him in eternity, in every NOW moment that I assume heaven will be. FOREVER...NOW... or FOREVERLY NOW. or NOWLY FOREVER??? no, I'm not baked on marijuana, just attempting a bit of philosophy. And I'm not much of a philosopher or apologetist. I apologize, for how lacking I might be in regards to being able to formulate my thoughts in a way that might make linear sense - I'm really more of an artist and creative type.

....but I really do hope that this week, regarding gathering instructions inspires you to look beyond yourself and you own limited understanding and rely on some broadening of your perspective. Tell me what you think, what you feel, what you pray, what you dream. Perhaps I'll learn from you too!
